About A Frayed Knot, Inc

A Frayed Knot…Quilting and More, owned by Debbie and Paul Hyde, opened its doors in August of 2006 in a small store front located on West South Main Street in Littleton, North Carolina. We soon had that small shop stuffed full with the finest cotton quilting fabric by many of the top designers, threads, embroidery designs and accessories, and the finest sewing and embroidery machines in the world, Bernina, which are engineered and manufactured in Switzerland.

In early 2007 we started searching for a new and bigger location. After much searching, we found the perfect location in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The new location (picture on the home page) is nearly three times as large as our original shop and provides ample space for a larger inventory of fabrics, threads, notions, books and patterns, sewing machine demo areas and a large classroom. In our classroom we conduct sewing and quilting classes for anyone from a new quilter/sewer to the advanced quilter/sewer. These classes are taught by store personnel and nationally known instructors.

Come visit us at 3032 Zebulon Road, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, in the Zebulon Commons Shopping Mall. Meet our friendly staff, browse our fabric collections and demo a Bernina sewing/embroidery machine, serger, or the 12 needle Happy Embroidery machine that is perfect for a cottage industry embroidery business. We also represent HandiQuilter and would be happy to show you the HQ16, the perfect mid-arm machine for quilting in your home.

If you are traveling north or south on I-95, take 64 East to the Buck Leonard Exit(2nd exit) and then right at the light on Zebulon Road. Zebulon Commons is on the right and there you will see A Frayed Knot.
